Vivek Oberoi, Sreesanth vibe on ‘Aye Udi Udi’ from Saathiya during fun drive in Dubai

Mumbai, July 3 (IANS) Former Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth shared a fun glimpse of his time with actor Vivek Oberoi in Dubai as both the stars enjoyed a drive while grooving to the popular song ‘Aye Udi Udi’ from the 2002 romantic drama ‘Saathiya’.

Taking to his social media account, Sreesanth shared a video featuring himself and Vivek seated inside a luxury car and having a great time.

As ‘Aye Udi Udi’ played in the background, the duo was seen singing along and enjoying the ride. The video shows even the driver joining in and mouthing the lyrics of the song.

Sharing the video, Sreesanth captioned it as, “@vivekoberoi such an amazing time with my brother ..thanks a lot for such beautiful memories Bhaii..ur such an inspirational and wonderful human being..love and respect always.”

Talking about the movie Saathiya, it was directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Mani Ratnam and Yash Chopra. The movie that released in 2002, was a remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil classic Alaipayuthey.

Saathiya starred Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukerji in the lead. The movie’s soundtrack, composed by A.R. Rahman, became immensely popular, with songs like ‘Saathiya’, ‘Chalka’, ‘Aye Udi Udi’ and many others becoming chartbusters.

Aye Udi Udi was sung by Adnan Sami, and went on to emerge as one of the movie’s most loved songs.

Coming to Vivek Oberoi’s work commitments, the actor has been roped in as the antagonist in filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film Spirit, starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles.

On the professional front, Vivek Oberoi made his Bollywood debut with Ram Gopal Varma’s Company in 2002. He went on to impress audiences with performances in films such as Saathiya, Yuva, Masti, Omkara and Shootout at Lokhandwala.

In recent years, Vivek has shifted his base to Dubai, where he actively manages his business ventures and also balances his acting career as well.
