Rajasthan: MP Beniwal seeks probe into NTA mismanagement during Ayurvedic PG exam

Jaipur, Aug 22 (IANS) Nagaur MP and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) National President Hanuman Beniwal has expressed strong displeasure over alleged mismanagement during the Ayurvedic PG examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Jaipur.

Beniwal said a power outage at Satya Sai PG College in Transport Nagar caused several computers to shut down, causing considerable difficulty for candidates during the examination. He stressed that it was the NTA’s responsibility to ensure uninterrupted power supply, adequate technical infrastructure and emergency backup arrangements at examination centres.

He described the disruption as a serious and unfortunate lapse, pointing out that students spend years preparing for competitive examinations and any technical or administrative negligence can directly affect their future. He said such negligence by the NTA amounts to injustice to students and cannot be accepted.

The Nagaur MP also noted that questions have repeatedly been raised over the NTA’s examination arrangements in the past. He said the Jaipur incident once again highlights concerns over what he termed the agency’s poor and irresponsible functioning.

Questioning the Union Education Minister, Beniwal asked whether the government would take cognisance of the alleged negligence and seek an explanation from the officials responsible. He demanded an immediate high‑level inquiry into the matter. He called for accountability for the concerned NTA officials as well as those responsible for arrangements at the examination centre.

Beniwal further demanded strict action against those found responsible, saying effective measures must be taken to ensure students across the country do not face similar mismanagement during future examinations.
