Dr. Sanjay Kumar, MLA, Jagtial Constituency Telangana here on Saturday ask the officials concerned to ensure the completion of the Government Medical College within the stipulated time.
Along with District Collector B. Satya Prasad and other officials concerned, he checked the ongoing works and progress. They also inspected the main college building, hostel block, kitchen and classrooms and enquire about the completion and pending works.
The Collector, however, asked officials to expedite the remaining works and ensure that all essential facilities meet with prescribed standards.
The collector B. Satya Prasad said that the medical college would strengthen medical education in the district and improve access to healthcare services for the public.
MLA Dr. Sanjay Kumar also said that the institution would provide better opportunities for local students to pursue medical education and bring healthcare services closer to the people. He urged officials to resolve construction-related issues through coordination and make the college operational at the earliest.
The medical college principal, officials from concerned departments and construction monitoring personnel and others were also present.
