The raids were carried out as part of preventive measures to safeguard public safety and prevent fire accidents, particularly during the festive season. According to police, the accused were allegedly operating without the required licences and without adequate fire safety measures.
During the first raid on October 21, police searched a house belonging to Zareena Sulthana in Jalal Baba Nagar, 9 Number, Attapur, within the limits of Attapur Police Station. Zareena Sulthana, 60, and Mohammed Azhar, 36, were apprehended for allegedly manufacturing firecrackers illegally.
