Hyderabad: HMWSSB Fines Jubilee Hills Resident ₹5,000 for Wasting Drinking Water

Hyderabad Oct 28: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has imposed a fine of ₹5,000 on a resident of Jubilee Hills for allegedly wasting drinking water by using potable water to clean the premises.

The action followed complaints from neighbours. HMWSSB officials inspected the property and confirmed the violation before imposing the penalty.

The board has urged residents to report the wastage of drinking water by sharing photographs or videos along with location details through WhatsApp at 99499 30003 or by calling its customer care number, 155313.

HMWSSB has also assured residents that the identities of complainants will be kept confidential.
