Hyderabad, October 30: After days of largely dry weather, rain returned to Hyderabad on Friday, drenching several neighbourhoods and bringing a sudden change in weather conditions. Lakdikapul, Masab Tank, Mehdipatnam and Irrum Manzil were among the areas that received showers.
Rain activity was also reported in several localities on the outskirts of the city, including Kapra, Ghatkesar, Keesara, Annojiguda, Dammaiguda, Nagaram, Boduppal, Rampally, Peerzadiguda, Medipally and Charlapally.
Meanwhile, more parts of Hyderabad were likely to experience rainfall in the following hours, according to a forecast shared by local weather enthusiast T. Balaji.
The areas expected to receive showers included Uppal, Dilsukhnagar, Saidabad, Malakpet, Rajendranagar, Chandrayangutta, Abids, Nampally, Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Secunderabad, Himayatnagar, Nacharam, Manikonda, Shaikpet, Gachibowli and Nanakramguda, along with neighbouring localities.
The return of rainfall brought a break from the prevailing dry conditions, while the possibility of further showers raised the prospect of wet roads and traffic disruptions in some areas.
Commuters were advised to exercise caution while travelling during heavy showers and remain alert to changing weather conditions. Residents were also advised to monitor official weather bulletins for updates on rainfall and any weather-related warnings.
