Nizamabad Oct 30: Tension prevailed in Nizamabad after All Inida Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leaders blocked the convoy of Bodhan MLA and government advisor P. Sudarshan Reddy near the 14th Division Cheruvu during his visit to the area.
The protest reportedly erupted after MIM leaders alleged that Sudarshan Reddy had used objectionable language and made comments against MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi. Taking strong exception to the alleged remarks, the MIM leaders stopped the MLA’s convoy and confronted him.
The protesters also raised slogans against the MLA, alleging that public issues in the division remained unresolved. Their confrontation with Sudarshan Reddy led to a heated exchange and heightened tensions between MIM and Congress supporters in the area.
Police personnel intervened and brought the situation under control, preventing the incident from escalating further.
The alleged remarks against Asaduddin Owaisi and the grievances raised by the MIM leaders became the focus of the confrontation. The exact nature of the alleged comments could not be independently verified.
