Under PM Modi’s leadership, India moving with confidence towards ‘Viksit Bharat’: Union Ministers
New Delhi, Sep 17 (IANS) Union Ministers on Thursday extended warm birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and praised his leadership, while acknowledging India’s growth and the pace of its journey towards achieving the resolve of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
PM Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in Gujarat’s Vadnagar. He has served as the Prime Minister since May 26, 2014 — currently in his third term. He is the longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister of the country. PM Modi is the Member of Parliament from Varanasi.
He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. This year also marks his 25 years in public life.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, taking to X, said, “Warm wishes and greetings to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on his birthday. Under his leadership, India is moving with confidence towards achieving the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’.”
From physical infrastructure to digital connectivity, from the welfare of the poor to innovation and entrepreneurship, the Defence Minister said that India has made “historic and remarkable strides across every sphere”.
“Ease of living has improved, opportunities have expanded, and the dignity of every individual has been strengthened,” he said.
“He has placed good governance and public service at the centre of the country’s development journey, making administration more transparent, accountable and citizen-centric,” he added.
Under his leadership, Singh said that India’s civilisational values and rich cultural heritage have received renewed recognition and respect on the global stage.
“India today is moving forward with a renewed sense of purpose, drawing strength from its civilisational roots. I pray for his good health, long life, and continued strength and energy in the service of the nation,” he added.
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda also extended heartfelt birthday greetings to the “world’s most popular politician, the architect of the vision for a Developed India, the inspiration for millions of youth”, PM Modi.
“Under your leadership, the resolve for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ has today become the aspiration of the people. The new India is firmly establishing its interests and capabilities on the global stage. The 7.8 per cent GDP growth and India’s leading role in the BRICS Summit held in New Delhi present a picture of a strong, self-confident, and decisive India before the world. Your dedication, discipline, and commitment to serving Mother India and the welfare of the nation serve as an inspiration to us all,” he said.

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar, taking to social media, wished the Prime Minister and said, “Join the nation and the world in wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi all success, good health and many more years in the service of our people. You continue to inspire globally through your ideas and achievements.”
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also extended warm birthday greetings to PM Modi and said, “In these turbulent times, you are steering our country steadily towards Vikasit Bharat. At every step, you have put the nation first. For every ₹ spent from the exchequer, you’ve ensured that public good is served. I pray that you live a long and healthy life as you continue serving Maa Bharati.”
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari wished the Prime Minister on his birthday and lauded him for “tirelessly working” for over five decades, with the motto of “Nation First” for the welfare of the countrymen.
“May fear, hunger, and corruption be completely eradicated from the country under your leadership; may India become self-reliant, and may we reclaim our position as the world’s guru — such are my wishes. I pray to God for your excellent health and long life,” he said in a post on X.
