Shots fired: Shekhar Suman takes a dig at Indian fugitives, says ‘they used to fly airplanes, play cricket’

Mumbai, June 6 (IANS) After his brave and relentless satire on his chat show, actor Shekhar Suman, has taken a dig at fugitives, who left India, calling them “glib talkers” with immeasurable charm.

The actor, who is receiving a lot of good response to his recently released streaming show ‘The Pyramid Scheme’, spoke with IANS along with Ranvir Shorey, Shreyansh Pandey and Paramvir Cheema during the promotional run of the show. He said that he had to put in a lot of work to cultivate the charm of a conman.

The actor told IANS, “The first prerequisite of a con man is the charm. Everybody gets swayed by the charm. They are the glib talkers. Very, very glib, very sharp. These people are very intelligent, except their energy is somewhere else. These kinds of people are very cunning, quick thinking and stuff like that. So, you catch them at one place, put them in jail, get them out and then do something different again”.

He further mentioned, “They don’t stop. But yes, I’ve seen a lot of characters like that. There are a lot of people who have left India now. with a lot of money from the banks. And they are comfortably living a very good life outside. Look at them, listen to them. Earlier, they used to fly airplanes, play cricket. So, if you listen to all these people, your character is right in front of you”.

Meanwhile, the series is based on the intriguing world of pyramid schemes. It also stars Paramvir Singh Cheema, Aanjjan Srivastav, Alfia Jafry, and Ashish Raghava, Akhilendra Mishra, Smita Bansal, Vijay Kumar, Indresh Malik, Ravi Bhel, Sushant Singh, Sonal Jha, and Sadanand Patil.
