PM Modi’s 12-year tenure reflects public trust in good governance: MP CM

Bhopal, June 10 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s completion of 12 years in elected executive office reflects the people’s continued trust in his model of governance, asserting that the BJP-led NDA has expanded across the country under his leadership.
Addressing mediapersons in Bhopal, Yadav said PM Modi’s political journey and long tenure in public office stand as evidence of his commitment to public welfare and development.
“We are proud that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the BJP is in power in 17 states and the NDA governs a total of 22 states. Coming from an ordinary family, Prime Minister Modi remains dedicated as the country’s ‘Pradhan Sevak’ and is committed to the welfare of every section of society,” Yadav said.
Highlighting the Prime Minister’s political milestone, the Chief Minister noted that Modi has become the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history. “After Independence, the record for the longest tenure as an elected Prime Minister was held by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now surpassed that record,” he said.
Yadav said the NDA’s growing presence in the states reflects the acceptance of its governance model and welfare-oriented policies. He added that the alliance would continue to focus on strengthening administration and improving the delivery of public welfare schemes.
Referring to the upcoming NDA Chief Ministers’ meeting, he said it would help states governed by the alliance exchange experiences and adopt best practices.
“Within the framework of democracy, the NDA meeting reflects cooperation among states that share a common ideology. Looking ahead, our objective is to further strengthen good governance and ensure that welfare schemes are implemented more systematically and effectively,” the Chief Minister said.
Yadav also criticised the Congress, alleging that the party had pursued divisive politics and lost public support due to its self-centred approach.
The BJP has been highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s completion of 12 years in elected office, describing the period as one marked by governance reforms, welfare initiatives and the expansion of the NDA’s political footprint across the country.
