Niki Walia reveals that Madhuri Dixit herself told her that she looked like her

Mumbai, Aug 23 (IANS) Actress Niki Walia revealed that Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit herself once told her that she looked like her.

Speaking exclusively to IANS, Niki opened up about being compared to Bollywood’s ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl.

Niki told IANS, “I have been in the industry for 30 years now, and I have never had a single day in my life where someone has not told me that I look like Madhuri ji.”

She shared that one time she was on the same flight as Madhuri and both of them started comparing their features just like kids.

Explaining what similarity she feels they actually share, Niki said that after a lot of inspection they came to the conclusion that, they only have similar smiles, and nothing else in common.

“Madhuri ji herself told me that I look like her because both of us were getting awards, and we were sitting together in a business class , and we were comparing each other’s features. She was getting the award for ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ and I was getting the award for ‘Baat Ban Jaaye’.

So, just like kids, we were checking our eyes, our lips, our smile and we both decided that our smiles are the same. Nothing else. It feels really good,” Niki went on to add.

On the work front, Niki was recently seen as Mandy in the film ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’.

Directed by Vivek B. Agrawal, the drama features Raghav Juyal as the lead, along with Niharika NM, Barkha Singh, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Vikalp Mehta, Vivan Bhatena, Tina Desai, Vineeth Beep Kumar, Naser Al Azzeh, Dev B. Agrawal, Sanjay Kapoor in other key roles.

Speaking about her character, Niki told IANS that Mandy’s personality and vibe are the exact opposite of her own, and that is what made the character both exciting and challenging for her.
