Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reaffirmed his government’s dedication to the principle of Antyodaya, inspired by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state has committed to making Rajasthan poverty-free through initiatives such as the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Garibi Mukt Gaon Yojana, he said. Launched in this year’s budget, the scheme aims to uplift all BPL families in 5,000 villages in the first phase, with a provision of Rs 300 crore.
He announced that Rajasthan Day will now be celebrated on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, in tribute to the state’s rich cultural and historical legacy.
He emphasised that the idea of Antyodaya will reach every corner of Rajasthan, starting from the sacred land of Braj. The Chief Minister stated that the true strength of the nation lies in the empowerment of the poor, youth, farmers, and women.
The government has already taken significant steps in this direction, including providing LPG cylinders at Rs 450 to poor families and ensuring nutritious meals through the Shri Annapurna Rasoi Yojana.
Women empowerment is also a priority, with schemes like the Lado Protsahan Yojana, which offers a savings bond of Rs 1.5 lakh for girls from economically weaker families, and the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, which is enabling women in self-help groups to achieve financial Independence.
The financial assistance provided to pregnant women under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandan Yojana has been increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,500, while pensions for senior citizens, widows, single women, disabled persons, and small and marginal farmers have been raised to Rs 1,250 per month.
The government is also focusing on the upliftment of deprived communities through the Dadu Dayal Ghumantu Empowerment Scheme, which supports nomadic and semi-nomadic groups.
To ensure balanced regional development, the funds for the Dang, Magra, and Mewat regional schemes have been increased to Rs 100 crore each.
Under the Swamitva Yojana, all revenue villages will undergo a drone survey, with plans to issue two lakh new land leases in the coming year.
Additionally, the government has introduced the Equal Opportunity Policy for Disabled 2025, ensuring greater inclusivity in state institutions. Chief Minister Sharma also addressed concerns regarding the integrity of recruitment exams, criticising past paper leak incidents.
He assured that under his administration, recruitment examinations are conducted with full transparency, providing timely employment opportunities for the youth.
