Assam’s Nagaon Parliamentary constituency fell vacant due to the resignation of Pradyut Bordoloi, a statement issued by the ECI said.

Adequate numbers of EVMs and VVPATs have been made available, and all steps have been taken to ensure that the poll is conducted smoothly with the help of these machines, the statement said.
According to the Commission, the process of updating electoral rolls in the four states continued till the last date of filing nominations
The ECI earlier said that candidates with criminal antecedents were required to publish information in this regard in newspapers and through television channels on three occasions during the poll campaign period.
