Hyderabad Oct 30: A 46-year-old Zepto delivery man had a narrow escape after accidentally falling into a water-filled nala along with his motorcycle near Vittal Rao Nagar, Madhapur near Hi-Tech City on Friday evening.
According to the details, the incident occurred around 7.30 pm when the delivery executive, identified as Arjun Kumar, was reportedly swept away by the strong water current.
Police and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. Arjun Kumar was safely pulled out of the nala and is reported to be out of danger.
However, his motorcycle remains trapped in the nala, as the strong flow of water has prevented officials from retrieving it. Police personnel are monitoring the situation and assessing the conditions for its recovery.
The sudden heavy rain lashed many parts of the Hyderabad Secunderabad areas. However, waterlogging and accumulation of the rain on the busy roads, caused much inconvenience to the motorists at several places. Also, Traffic Police and HYDRAA Personnel were deployed to drain out water and regulate traffic movement in many areas.
