Chitrakoot: Head Constable Suspended After Viral Video Allegedly Shows Him Intoxicated and Lying Upside Down

Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, The Freedom Press: A head constable in Uttar Pradesh’s Chitrakoot district has been suspended after a video showing him lying upside down on a chair went viral on social media.

The incident reportedly took place at a roadside canteen along the Prayagraj National Highway on October 19.

According to a Media Reports, the policeman was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, with his head hanging down and legs raised in the air.

After noticing his condition, a person alerted the emergency response team through Dial 112.

A police response vehicle reached the spot and took the head constable for a medical examination.

The incident was subsequently brought to the attention of senior police officials.The policeman was identified as Head Constable Deepak Prakash Verma, posted at the police lines.

Chitrakoot Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh suspended him and ordered a departmental inquiry into the incident.The viral video has triggered discussion on social media, raising questions about discipline and conduct within the police force.
