AAP to kick off Punjab door-to-door campaign from Dhuri ahead of polls: Manish Sisodia

Chandigarh, Sep 18 (IANS) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia announced on Friday that the party will commence its door-to-door campaigning from Dhuri on September 20 in preparation for the 2027 Assembly polls.

The campaign will involve all AAP workers, ministers, and booth committee members and they will visit households in Punjab and apprise them of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann government’s achievements in the state.

CM Mann will personally conduct the door-to-door campaign and also release the AAP’s election campaign pamphlet on September 19, from Ludhiana.

Speaking to reporters, AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia said, “The government has done many times more work than all the promises made to the people of Punjab before the elections. Punjab is moving forward—in schools, hospitals, agriculture, trade, providing jobs to the youth, sports. In every area, Punjab has progressed with complete honesty because of honest politics.”

He said that while the AAP government has fulfilled its duty and continues to work, it is now the responsibility of the organisation to take the Mann government’s achievements to every household.

“Thus, from September 20, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will kick off a door-to-door campaign from Dhuri,” Sisodia informed.

“Following that, every party worker, minister, and lakhs of our booth committee members will visit every home in Punjab to share how the current government has contributed to improving individual lives and advancing the entire state,” the AAP in-charge added.

Sisodia said, the AAP’s 2.68 lakh booth committee members will go door-to-door to highlight the schemes and policies brought in by the Mann government. The event will also mark the beginning of the AAP’s membership drive.

While speaking to the media, Sisodia also informed that Chief Minister Mann will release the election campaign pamphlet on September 19 in Ludhiana, before the door-to-door campaign commences.

The pamphlet will be a blueprint of the campaign’s framework and key messages that will be conveyed to the masses.

The AAP aims to reach every household of Punjab to highlight the government’s initiatives before the elections in the state, presumably next year.
