Ram Temple related construction to be completed by March 2027, says Nripendra Misra

Ayodhya, Aug 20 (IANS) Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Misra on Thursday said that all construction work related to the temple, including within its premises and that of the ‘Ram Katha Museum’, is expected to be completed by March 2027.
Speaking to reporters in Ayodhya, he said: “An initial review was conducted yesterday. One conclusion that has emerged is that the construction work within the temple premises will be completed by September 30. After October 30, the employees of Larsen & Toubro and Tata, will leave from here. Only the auditorium work, being carried out by the State Construction Corporation, and the museum work will continue. All these works are expected to be completed by March 2027.”
Misra said that construction work at the Museum is the “biggest challenge”.
“This is because work is underway on how to technically create a video according to the script written for the museum. For example, out of the total 20 galleries, gallery number seven is being used to depict all the smaller temples inside the complex so that devotees can have ‘darshan’,” he explained.
Moreover, Nripendra Misra highlighted that a very “advanced and immersive technology” is being used so that the devotees can have a ‘divine darshan’ of the temple at gallery number seven.
“Similarly, gallery number 17 is a challenge in itself because it will depict the rivers that Lord Ram crossed during his journey into exile and the messages he conveyed along those rivers. Efforts are being made to present this appropriately,” Misra said while adding that he has cited the examples to explain that the technology will be decided for each gallery individually.
“Experts from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Chennai are working on the innovations and we hope that after February-March 2027, devotees will be allowed to visit the museum,” he mentioned.
Further, Misra said that the payments being made to the contractors of L&T, Tata and other contractors appointed by these companies, are being reviewed in detail “so that any construction related work is not left incomplete by the end of this year”.
