KTR ask MLAs to supervise flood relief works for 10 days

Hyderabad, Oct 20: Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao, few Ministers, people representatives and officials visited the flood affected areas in the city and distributed financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to each family who were affected by the flood in view of the  heavy rains.
At MS Maktha and Rajanagar in Khairatabad, Rao interacted with the flood affected people and assured them that the government will stand with them.

Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan, local officials and among others accompanied Rama Rao.

Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav who visited Bhastinagar in Ameerpet has distributed a financial assistance of Rs 10,000 by way of  cheques to the flood affected people.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government was ready to extend all help to them.

Yadav advised the opposition parties to extend an helping hand to the flood affected people instead of criticizing the government.

Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy who visited the flood affected areas of Meerpet distributed financial assistance cheques of Rs 10,000 each to the affected people and assured that the government would extend all help to the people who were affected  with floods.

Rao asked the MLAs to supervise flood relief works  in their respective Assembly constituencies for about 10 days.

Speaking at a review meeting here, Rao asked the officials to extend all possible help to everyone who were affected due to heavy rains since October 13, official sources said.

Stating that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s desire is that the help should be reached to the affected people, Rao asked the officials to supervise rehabilitation centers organized by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

With rains have subsided, the Minister also asked the officials to speed up relief works in the city.

As per the directions of the Chief Minister, Rao called upon the MPs, MLAs, and MLCs who are under GHMC to donate two months’ salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, the sources added.
