Kishan Reddy inspects AIIMS Bibinagar on PM Modi’s direction

Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Oct 10: Union Minister of State (MoS) Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy on Saturday inspected All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bibinagar and also conducted a review meeting with the director & staff of the hospital.

Accompanied by District Collector, MoS Kishan Reddy assessed the progress made so far in making the facility fully operational for the use of patients from the region and also launched the official website of the hospital.

In a subsequent press meet, he said that he visited the place on the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and added that the centre has allocated Rs 1000 crore for AIIMS in Telangana.

He ensured full support from the Union Government towards the development of the hospital facility and added that the hospital will soon be turned into a full-fledged facility.

He said that nine AIIMS have been developed after the Prime Minister came to power.  

Kishan Reddy asked for allotment of additional 10 acres land near to the hospital for establishment of a Rural Health Centre which will act as AIIMS-affiliated research-oriented hospital.

Around 750 students can pursue the education when the construction of the medical college will be completed, he said adding that the out-patient block will be re-opened in a month. Bank post-office will be made available in the medical college premises, he added.

He said that the Union government and State government will work together towards development of the hospital on the lines of other prestigious AIIMS hospitals in other parts of the country.
