Other states adopting Telangana policing methods: Home Minister


Hyderabad, Oct 7: Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Wednesday asserted that the Telangana Police has always maintained performing its duties and maintaining law and order, as its priority and said that other states of the country are adopting the policies of the Telangana government citing Telangana as an leading example.

The Home Minister on Wednesday participated in a police parade marking the completion of nine months of police constable induction training at City Training College here in Hyderabad.

In his address, Mahmood Ali said that Telangana’s annual revenue and Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has been steadily increasing for the last six years and this year’s increase is the highest ever recorded.

He credited the achievement to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and said that the Chief Minister has done this feat with his foresight.

Success is achieved only when peace and tranquility is maintained in the state, he said and added that the foriegn investors and global companies invest in places where law and order is under control.

Mahmood Ali said that the Chief Minister and his Government has given importance to the Police Department from the very beginning and has provided all facilities to the Police Department.

Brand new vehicles including four wheelers, two wheelers and other vehicles were provided to the department, he said adding that importance has also been given to construct new buildings for police stations across the state.

He further said that the Telangana government has issued the highest number of post notifications for SCTPCs in the year 2019-20. The total number is 16,925. Of these posts, 1,095 SCTPCs Civil / AR / Mechanic / Driver / IT & Communication (Men / Women).

Congratulating the passed outs, he said, “all of you have shown patience in your training in these difficult times of Covid-19. It is all due to your hard work, dedication, purpose and interest.”

We will further enhance the best police image and brand image of Telangana and serve the people with friendly policing, he added.

Telangana DGP Mahendra Reddy, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, principals of police training colleges, teachers and others were also present during the parade.
