Moinabad Rape & Murder Case: Home Minister instruct officials for speedy trial

Hyderabad, Sept 29: Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Tuesday held a high-level review meeting with senior police officials of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and directed them for speedy trial in the case at his office on the tragic incident that took place in Moinabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Home Minister Mahmood Ali informed that the PD Act has been provoked on the accused while the case has been handed over to the Rajendra Nagar Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ashok Chakraborty and said that strict legal action should be taken against the accused.
He expressed his condolence and said that he is deeply saddened by the shameful incident. He asserted that the TRS government takes such matters seriously and it does not support any accused nor does it tolerate religious bigotry.
He asked the people not to pay attention to the false statements being spread through social media. He said that people should have faith in the government that justice will be served.
Mahmood Ali further lashed out at a few people who are using unacceptable language and said that it is very important to control one’s language when criticizing someone and it should benefit the people.
“Some people call themselves Muslims and using such language which is a shame to the entire Muslim community,” he added.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajnar, Deputy Commissioner of Police Prakash Reddy, and other officials from Cyberabad Police Commissionerate were present at the meeting.
