Hyderabad, Nov 10 (IANS) After suffering a shock defeat in the bypoll to the Dubbak Assembly seat, Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) Working President KT Rama Rao said that the loss will not demoralise the ruling party in Telangana but had “alerted” it.
The BJP wrested the seat from TRS by a margin of over 1,000 votes. Rama Rao said that TRS will neither be arrogant in victory nor demoralised by defeat.
KTR, as the Minister is popularly known, said the result in Dubbak was not to the expectations of the party. “We will analyse the reasons for the defeat and move ahead,” he said.
The TRS leader, who is son of TRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, said that the party will move closer to people with developmental and other welfare programmes.
