Hyderabad, Nov 24: Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud on Sunday said that the chief minister of the state KCR was implementing several welfare programs by keeping in mind the welfare of different communities of the state and added that the CM was trying to encourage all the community-based professions in order to help the members of those communities in the state.
Goud said that the state government had announced Neera policy in order to help the Gouda community of the state. He made these remarks while addressing a review meeting held on the issue of Neera policy.
Speaking on the occasion he announced the constitution of a committee to study the promotion of Neera and allied products. He said that the managing director of the toddy tappers finance corporation Alok Kumar would head the committee.
He also said that the committee would visit the toddy allied products research centre of YSR horticulture University at Rajahmundry and study about the different products related to toddy.
