Hyderabad, Nov 20: In a significant development, the Joint Action Committee (JAC), which is leading the ongoing strike by the employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, announced that the agitation would be called off if the corporation management inducts back the employees without any conditions.
This was decided at a meeting of the RTC workers unions under the aegis of the JAC held at the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station here on Wednesday evening.
Later briefing media, JAC convener Ashwadhama Reddy said that the unions were ready for talks if the government and the management did not take back employees with any conditions, the strike, which entered the 47th day, would continue.
He was confident that the labour court would resolve the crisis adding that “we are hopeful that the labour court will do justice to us”.
It may be mentioned that the High Court had directed the Labour Commissioner to take a decision on the strike within two weeks.
