Nayani pays rich tributes to Police Martyrs

Hyderabad, Oct 21: Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy today said the Telangana Police have been ideal and were offering indomitable and friendly services to people.

As part of “Police Commemoration Day” celebrations held across the State in a grand manner, the Home Minister paid rich tributes to the police martyrs at a program in Goshamahal Police Stadium here. Director General of Police Anurag Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mahender Reddy and other officials paid rich tributes to the police martyrs to mark the occasion.

On the occasion, the Home Minister released a postal stamp and postal cover. He lauded Telangana Police saying that they have been in the forefront to offer best services and participating in social services. Stating that the Telangana police system was ideal to other States, Narsimha Reddy said the Telangana police were playing a key role for State’s growth. Their role was key in getting more industries and investments to the State besides planting saplings as part of Haritha Haram program, he said.

The police offer laudable efforts in law and order protection and spread brotherhood and communal amity in the society, he noted. He said that crime rate in the state has been reducing gradually with the police being alert. Narsimiha Reddy also said that one lakh CC cameras will be set up to have continuous vigilance in the city to check the crime. The people are indebted to the police sacrifices and I pray to the god to rest in peace the souls of the police martyrs he said. The Government offered more funds to modernize the police department with gadgets, equipment and maintain standards. In addition to existing welfare scheme like nowhere in the country, the government will implement more such programs for police martyrs. The police is doing well with a focus on against social problems and stigmas and seeing positive results he observed.
